Frequently Asked Questions

What is the EIAT passing score?

The written EIAT is administered by NEIEP as a qualifying test with a strict 70% passing threshold. Scoring 70% or higher earns you an invitation to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC) oral interview and tool assessment.

Are calculators allowed on the exam?

No. Calculators are strictly prohibited on the EIAT. All arithmetic must be performed on scratch paper by hand under strict time limits, which is why manual fraction and long division speed drills are essential.

Does my EIAT score determine my apprentice rank?

The written test is pass/fail (70% cutoff). Your numerical rank on the Local's 2-year hiring list is determined by your interview score, practical tool assessment, and trade certifications.

Is this a recurring subscription?

No. $40 is a single one-time payment for 90 days of full access. No automatic renewals or recurring charges.

What if my exam date gets delayed?

If your Local pushes back test dates, simply email hello@clackprep.com and we will extend your access at no additional charge.
